Chapter Seven:

Chance jumped when instead of immediately going for his ass, Matt ran a long drizzle of lube down his spine. Then he sighed when Matt lubed up his big hands and began to rub his tight shoulder. He moaned when Matt hit one spot and the knot there released.

“Fuck, you are tight,” Matt said as he continued his massage. Chance winced when Matt hit a spot on his side where a cow had caught him with a hoof while he was trying to get her into the shoot for her time in the ring.

Matt stopped and said, “Okay, what the fuck did you do?’ he asked, concern and exasperation warring in his voice.

“Didn’t move fast enough,” Chance said with a grin, not sure why Matt was so bent out of shape. Dealing with cattle meant you were going to get kicked every now and again.

He looked back when Matt ran his greasy hands down Chance’s dry sides, removing a lot of the lube before he jumped up and started rooting through Chance’s duffle bag. “What are you looking for?” Chance asked curiously.

“Your liniment,” Matt muttered as he continued to paw through Chance’s things. “You need to get something on that. It’s still going to bruise, but at least you should be less stiff.”

Chance began to protest. He could give a fuck less about the ache in his side when his cock was sending up plenty of flares. If Matt was worried about soreness, Chance had something he could rub. He started to turn over to remind Matt where they were when Matt held up the liniment bottle in triumph. He saw Chance’s aborted movement and grinned.

“Lay your eager ass down,” Matt said and gave Chance a slap on the ass.

Chance subsided with ill grace and Matt returned to his former position. He groaned when Matt poured some of the liniment on the sore spot on his side and began to rub it in. The liniment was part of every cowboy’s go bag, but damned if the stuff smelled good.

“Why does this stuff smell like crap?” Chance asked between groans. At first Matt’s massage stung then the muscle loosened and Chance gave a huge sigh. He hadn’t been consciously aware of the pain, but now that it was retreating, he felt much better.

“I guess they only want you to use it if you really need it,” Matt said absently as he feathered the liniment into the surrounding tissue. It amazed him how much the thought of Chance hurting bothered him. Maybe I am a little bit in love with him, he thought then pushed that thought away. He needed to get through tonight, then they would see where they were.

“Be right back,” Matt said with another slap on Chance’s firm ass. Chance was stockier than Matt was and his ass was harder, but Matt couldn’t say he didn’t enjoy slapping that firm orb. It didn’t jiggle like a woman’s butt, but it still felt mighty fine.

Matt went into the bathroom, washed his hands, and stared into the mirror for a second.
